Shadyside condo plan moves ahead
Friday, June 17, 2005
Walnut Capital Corp. and the Shadyside West neighborhood association have reached an agreement to allow a six-story condominium building to be built on South Neville Street.
Walnut originally had proposed a 10-story building across from the Winchester complex, but neighbors objected when the project was submitted to the city zoning board for approval of a height variance.
Both sides told the zoning board yesterday they have agreed to construction of a six-story building.
The building, which is expected to begin construction in the fall, will have 42 units.
Correction/Clarification: (Published 6/21/05) A six-story condominium building proposed by Walnut Capital Corp. for South Neville Street in Shadyside will have 42 units.
