I've lived in Shadyside going on 6 years and have had nothing but positive experiences here. It's incredibly quiet, safe, and you can walk everywhere!
Shadyside has something for everyone, seriously. Shops, galleries, and national retailers? Check! Victorian mansions on tree-lined streets? Check! Hip events and exceptional restaurants? Check! And on top of that, everything is within walking distance. If you want bustling streets and quiet crannies, a family-environment or lively student zone, Shadyside will meet your expectations because it offers a little bit of everything!

Shadyside is considered one of the safest neighborhoods in Pittsburgh, everything is within walking distance, and residents love the mom-and-pop shops and dining al fresco on hidden side streets.
I love living here. Everything I want is nearby. The people are friendly, and the area is safe. I only see this area getting better over time, and I'd make the decision to live here again in a heartbeat.
