East Liberty is full of history and culture. The area was referred to as Pittsburgh’s “second downtown” in its golden era of the 40s and 50s. There’s been many ups and downs, but through a monumental development effort, new restaurants are popping up, boutique hotels have regular visitors, and East Liberty is regaining its place once again as a thriving place for businesses, residential living and shopping. So much so that Lonely Planet named it number one on its list of Hot 'Hoods in the US.

Why people love East Liberty

As one of Pittsburgh’s most diverse neighborhoods, there’s a lot to explore! Residents love the atmosphere, nearby restaurants and overall walkability.

I love the location and it's so close to so many great places - my favorite are Noodlehead, Casbah, and Muddy Waters!
