"As Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group looks to expand its portfolio in the Pittsburgh area, take a bite (and sip) of this: An izakaya restaurant is headed to Bakery Square.

The yet-to-be-named Japanese pub-style restaurant will be led by Gi-Jin’s chef de cuisine Michael Taylor, Casey Henderlong, RDRG’s director of events and public relations, said in an email.

More of a laidback spot than, say, sushi-focused Gi-Jin, the restaurant’s menu will include some sushi and plenty of hot plates, including seafood and grilled meats, she said. Expect beer and cocktails, too."
