Once upon a time, the Highland Country Club golf course sat tucked between I-279 and Rt. 19 in Ross. Today, instead of walking up the fairway to the next hole, visitors find a community of luxury townhomes.

Built by Laurel Communities and managed by Walnut Capital, Highland Village is a community of 161 townhomes with two or three bedrooms. Rents start at $2,636 for two-bedroom units with 2½ baths and top out at $3,988 for three bedrooms and 2½ baths.

Located on Pinehurst and Muirfield drives, Highland Village centers around the clubhouse and is near stores and restaurants on McKnight Road.

For property manager Judy Smith, who grew up in Ross, the location is a major draw. “It’s right off 279, which makes it so easy to get into town or any place,” she said. ”It’s just close to everything you can get in and out of so quickly. You can get to places so easily.”
