RentCafe, the resident payment portal, has rolled out the first stage of an exciting new rewards system that residents can take advantage of: Rewards by RentCafe! 

It works on a points system; essentially, you earn points by doing specific things, and then you can exchange those points in a virtual store called the Rewards Marketplace. This marketplace has all of the goodies you can imagine - from Target giftcards to even travel experience. 

To earn points, all you need to do is sign up for the rewards program. You can do this by clicking here, or by entering the Walnut Capital app and then click Menu > Resident Shield > Rewards by RentCafe. Then, begin earning points! At this time, you are only able to earn points by purchasing Renter Shield Insurance (100 points per month) and IDIQ with a paid upgrade (250 points for historical reporting per month and 75 points for credit monitoring).

As mentioned, this is phase one of the rollout for this system. This means that there will be more opportunities to earn points in the future (and that means we can hand them out, too...), so make sure you sign up now!
